SOY Student Work Exhibit at City Hall

By invitation from the City of Costa Mesa Cultural Arts Committee,

Student work generated from our grant funded Visual Art programming at the Costa Mesa community center Save Our Youth (SOY) is being exhibited at city hall!

A reception for this exhibition will take place on Tuesday, February 25th from 5-6pm. Please join us in supporting the talents of these students.

Light hours d’oeuvres and acoustic music performed by SOY students will set the mood for a delightful evening.

A special thank you to the Ruth and Joseph C Reed Foundation for funding this school year program. Together, we are nurturing the creative talents of these deserving students and better preparing them to enter California’s booming Creative economy.

The Chuck Jones Center is pleased to announce the receipt of a Community Service grant awarded by the City of La Quinta, allowing us to bring our Food For Thought program to the La Quinta community for free! In preparation for our upcoming classes, we will be hosting a kick-off event on January 17th, 10:30-12pm at the La Quinta Wellness Center! if you’re local to the La Quinta area, join us for an informative presentation to learn more about the cognitive benefits of our adult brain health program, participate in creative activities, and sign up for classes.

Saturday Morning Cartoons & Drawing is a place to bring the family and be inspired to create. There will be tables with drawing materials for all members of the family of any artistic level to participate. Draw alongside Chuck Jones Center for Creativity teaching artist, Naylene Justis and other professionals.

We have Looney Tunes cartoons on the big screen and donuts, coffee and water to enjoy.

Although this event is free, a $5 refundable registration fee is required as space is limited. If you need to cancel, please do so no later than the week before for a full refund. All registration fees refunded upon attendance. If you would like to donate your registration fee, just let us know at the event. Thank you from the Chuck Jones Center for Creativity, a California 501(c)3 non-profit public charity.

We look forward to having you at the studio.

Stop by on Sept. 28 from 10 to 4pm to enjoy a festive day with the arts, have a bite to eat and mingle with the artists and craftspeople who will be exhibiting and selling their original art and fine crafts. View and purchase works by over 100 artists working in: Oil Paintings • Watercolors • Pastels • Acrylics • Mixed Media • Sculpture • Glass Art • Textiles • Jewelry • Woodcrafts • Photography and more!

The Chuck Jones Center for Creativity will have a table featuring hands-on, creative art activities for kids!

The one-day event is held on the green at the new Newport Beach Civic Center adjacent to the Newport Beach Library. Free admission and parking.

Come and enjoy a fun, family-friendly event for all ages! This day-long event features live music, carnival games, amazing raffle prizes, food tasting, a pie-eating contest, a fashion walk, beer & wine gardens, and more! Stop by our table to participate in some hands-on, creative art activities! The Center will be present for the entire event, from 1 to 5pm. Come say hi and take a break to be creative!

The Chuck Jones Center for Creativity is thrilled to once again be participating in the City of Costa Mesa’s ARTventure event at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts! Join us for a 2-day, FREE cultural art event in the beautiful, multi-tiered glass lobby of the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall. The Chuck Jones Center for Creativity will be present with creative activities for all on September 7th, from 10am to 3pm.

Friday, Sept. 6 (5-9pm) - An amazing evening filled with art, live music, and refreshments as we celebrate the incredible talents of local artists with an opening reception and awards presentation.

Saturday, Sept. 7 (10am-3pm) - An incredible family-friendly day full of live art entertainment, including musical, theatrical, literary, culinary, and hands-on demonstration. The Chuck Jones Center for Creativity will have a table with hands-on art activities!

This free community event is organized by the Costa Mesa Cultural Arts Committee highlighting Costa Mesa's "City of the Arts" motto.

Whether you're an artist yourself or a patron of the arts, all creative minds are welcome!
